Google LSI Web 2.0 Latent Semantic Indexing Seo how what & why?
Google LSI Web 2.0 Latent Semantic Indexing Seo how what & why?
The latest change to optimizing a website for better SERP ranking is LSI. Google had made LSI more important with the Bandy update. Now your website must make sense have solid related links and be relevant to topic. For your normal internet user and webmaster Googles recent upgrade of LSI technology from the Brandy release of 2004 has drastically improved life. For traditional SEO experts and fundamentals it has made a big headache. To make it simple Latent semantic indexing means that now search engine crawlers do much more than look for keywords. In fact they are almost completley ignored for the LSI portion of googles SERP rank algorithm . This is not to say that keywords in your content don't count. Keywords and keyword terms must now make sense in relation to the topic. Latent Semantic Indexing (LSI) is an approach to understanding keywords in the context of the words on the entire webpage.
An example would be the keyword "Seo" now the LSI algorithm will look for terms that relate such as search engine optimization, website optimization, or optimized website design. This helps to increase relevant search results and decrease search engine spam. So now by just “Keyword Stuffing” the term "Seo" fifty times on a page of non related text won't help rank your website better for that term. It will actually hurt your rankings.
Search engines with vast databases now use LSI to associate certain terms with concepts when indexing web pages. In other words instead of relying on just occurrences of a particular keyword on a page to determine what that page is about, now they are able to ascertain a more accurate idea of a pages theme by how words are associated within the web page. Google will know what to rank this page for based on the theme of the entire page not just the amount of times a particular keyword is referenced. This is being done to increase user satisfaction when searching. Also to increase relevance of search results for ideas versus terms.
LSI may be the best thing to happen for search engine results ever. At least for webmasters and website owners who use real content. Simply by writing in a natural manner about your topic you increase search results relevance and have already optimized perfectly. This is much better than trying to get the perfect balance of key terms as in standard Seo practice. Website optimization is best done by really making the webpages stay on topic. LSI can really help level the playing field if you take the time to understand how to implement it into your copy.
Yay for Google, yay for LSI, yay for no more nonsense search engine spam sites. Welcome to the new world of website optimization , welcome to social interactive Web 2.0.

Two hottest MSN Live SEO tips
1. Update as much as possible and I don't mean full web site refits. Just subtle changes like adjusting your titles and descriptions at least once a month. This makes MSN see your content as "fresh and new" so they index you faster.
2. MSN Live is pure Web 2.0 and is very sociable. Every time you update a page or upload a new one, submit it to them. Unlike any other search engine MSN Live search lets you submit any URL that is not current in their index without spam penalty. "
